A Sky Sports survey from last year showed that an incredible 86% of football supporters had witnessed a racist incident at a football match. 

As football photographers working pitch side, what can we do? Whether you see, hear or are the victim of discrimination at a football game of any level, you can use the Kick It Out app to discreetly report abuse.

This lends itself to the question, why are there so few photographers with a BAME background working in football photography? It’s an important issue we’ll be addressing in the coming weeks. If you feel you have a contribution to make please get in touch.
